Wilmington, DE – October 24, 2018 – Members of the Corrado Construction Company team accepted the Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) 2018 Excellence in Construction Award for our work on the Rehoboth Beach City Hall building. The annual award ceremony was held at the Chase Center at Wilmington’s Riverfront and featured keynote speaker Brian Dawkins, the former NFL player with the Eagles who was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Contributing to the recognition for this two-year project were the experience and dedication of CCC’s entire team. We met several challenges that went beyond the expected pressures of deadlines, weather, and last minute design changes. These challenges included sharing limited space with active city staff, blending old infrastructure with new design elements – satisfy public expectations of a beloved city landmark – and innovating the approach to storm water management to convert unusable space into additional parking lots.
This award is an honor. We thank DCA for the recognition as well as our entire team for meeting these challenges one by one. Their efforts brought the project to a successful completion.
