Wilmington, DE – October 24, 2019 – Members of the Corrado Construction Company team accepted the Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) 2019 Excellence in Construction Award for our work on the Datwyler Pharmaceutical site. The annual award ceremony was held at the Chase Center at Wilmington’s Riverfront and featured keynote speaker Larry Bowa, the former MLB shortstop, manager and coach who played for the Phillies.
Datwyler Pharmaceutical in Middletown, Delaware began as a 15-acre corn field and was transformed into a high-tech factory that produces ultra-clean packaging components for the pharmaceutical industry.
This was a design/build project that afforded Corrado Construction the opportunity to work with the construction manager and engineer on the project and give our input for site design. By doing so, we were able to save both time and money for the client. It also gave us the opportunity to help plan the logistics that allowed the project to run smoothly. Putting all of these things together gave us a better vision of the project – part of the reason we completed the sitework package two weeks ahead of schedule and within the budget.
We are honored to receive this year’s Excellence in Construction Award for Datwyler Pharmaceutical. We thank DCA for the recognition as well as our entire team for their efforts in bringing this project to a successful completion.
