Newark, DE – May 7, 2015 – At the annual ABC Delaware Student & STEP Awards dinner, seven students from New Castle County Vo-Tech Schools were honored. Eligible students had to be enrolled in a construction curriculum, had to show outstanding academic achievement and needed to complete a co-op program with an ABC member. Brandon Roth, who has been a Co-Op with Corrado Construction since June 2014, was one of the seven students, recognized for his achievements at St. Georges Technical High School. Brandon received a $250 gift certificate for new tools and a tool box.
Brandon was also chosen as the recipient of the ABC Delaware Construction Education Foundation of Delaware’s annual scholarship award. The scholarship is available to graduating students from a vo-tech high school. Brandon will receive $1000, which is renewable each year for four years if he carries a 2.75 GPA. Brandon is a senior at St. George’s and will graduate with a 3.95 grade point average and will be attending Delaware Tech in the fall majoring in Energy and Engineering Technology. He was inducted into the 2014 National Honor Society and was named the Outstanding Co-Op student at St. George’s for 2014. We are very proud of Brandon and all of his accomplishments.
