Project Overview
The Terumo Parking Lot project is an additional 390,000 SF parking lot built for Terumo Medical Corporation in Elkton, Maryland. The original site was an undeveloped farmer’s field that required clearing of wooded areas. In addition to the site development package, this project included the installation of a 12,600 SF bio-retention pond and state highway improvements.
- Topsoil stripped: 12,650 CY
- Storm Sewer: 1,500 LF
- Curb: 8,000 LF
- Sidewalk: 1,700 SF
- Paving: 2,700 tons
Key Challenges
Value engineering services for the construction of the bio pond. Maintaining drainage throughout the project. Coordination with Maryland’s State Highway Administration (SHA) to install an additional turning lane on Maryland State Highway.
