Screed Operator
Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Screed Operator to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of asphalt paving operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the screed component of the asphalt paver to control the depth and consistency of asphalt being laid
  • Monitor material and adjust screed settings to ensure proper compaction and smooth finish
  • Maintain consistent paving quality in coordination with the paver operator and ground crew
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in crew safety meetings
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a screed operator (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving and road construction
  • Ability to read and understand grade and slope specifications
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is an asset)
